How to apply eyeshadow and blush for crossdressers

Yes it’s time again for another cosmetic tip from Betty! Damn, I think I’ve covered almost everything now. No, there always will be something, otherwise we’d all look perfect, and I don’t see that happening. So this page is about putting on eye shadow and blush, which is the final touches on the cake,,er,, I mean face.

Before you put on your eyeshadow and blush you should have all the other steps done. Shaved, applied beard cover, cream foundation, powder, eyeliner, eyelash mascara. Now, stick with subtle colors in the beginning. Pale pinks, peach, lavender, gray, rose and so on. Use pressed powder, it goes on easier and better. A lot of girls use 2 or 3 colors for eyeshadow. What you do is blend them into each other.

Your upper eyelid has 3 parts. The lower lid, which is from where your eyelashes are to where it is indented, or the crease. Then the line, or crease that is the point between the lower and upper lid. Then the upper lid, which is from the crease to the brow. Now most use a darker shade on the lower lid, then a lighter shade on the rest. You can use 2 or 3 shades, it takes a lot of experimenting with lots of shades to find the look that’s best for you.

So with an eye shadow brush put the darker shade on the lower lid, using steady, soft strokes. Then from the crease use a lighter shade. If your using just two shades run it up to the upper lid to your brow. If using 3 shades just do the line, or crease, then the third shade from the crease to the brow. Try to blend them in to each other. If you smear it, use the old Q tips to fix it.

It takes a lot of practice but you will get better. Because there are so many shades and you have no idea what will look best I recommend buying a big makeup set, say 20 or more colors to work with. Eyeshadow will really make you look better, so take the time to find what shades look best on you and get good at it.

Now for the blush. Again there are many shades to choose from, use a light color for now. Get a blush brush, which is like a small powder brush. Again I like the pressed powder blush. Start on your middle cheek and brush up to the high cheek bone, close to the temple. You want the color light at the bottom with the brightest color at the top. Once your good at it you can try different colors.

There are lots of other tricks you can use, but those are the basics. There, the cake is painted and ready to be put on display! As for taking your makeup off, I always use a good makeup remover liquid, hit the shower and rub that stuff all over my wet face. Then shower everything off. Don’t open your eyes till you’ve really done a good job getting it off, or it will sting like crazy! I hope this was helpful to you. Now go out and show your pretty face!
